The story follows Renton Thurston, a fourteen year old boy who has a heart full of adventure, and the crew of Gekkostate, as well as the mystery of the Coralians as well. He starts off as a naive young boy dreaming of joining the Gekkostate, which leader and captain is Holland Novak, Renton's idol. Lucky him, early in the series Renton becomes a member of Gekkostate, but is constantly picked on by his fellow crew members. He becomes the co-pilot of the Nirvash along with Eureka, the two go on to have many adventures as well as the rest of the crew members of Gekkostate.
